We are writing to alert you to recent notices issued by the Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA).
January 30, 2024, the agency released a final rule on Expedited Approval of Alternative Test Procedures for the Analysis of Contaminants Under the Safe Drinking Water Act; Analysis and Sampling Procedures. This action, effective January 30, 2024, provides laboratories using drinking water methods more timely access to new testing techniques and methods for implementation.

February 12, 2024, the USEPA announced a request for public input on Drinking Water Analytical Methods. The public comment period is open until April 8, 2024. Along with the public comment opportunity, the EPA is hosting two identical pre-proposal webinars on April 17 and April 18, 2024.
