The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development and Office of Water invite you to attend a free webinar focused on the impacts of wildfire on drinking water.

Amanda Hohner from Montana State University will discuss wildfire implications for drinking water systems, with particular emphasis on dissolved organic matter character and treatability, as well as disinfection byproduct (DBP) formation. Michael Pennino from EPA’s Office of Research and Development (ORD) will discuss how wildfires can increase drinking water contamination, with an emphasis on nitrate, arsenic, and DBP formation. The talks will be followed by a panel Q&A session with the presenters and Jana Compton from EPA’s ORD.
